About SIP−UHV Cell
Induction generally describes the process whereby the incumbents adjust to or acclimatize to their new roles and environment. In other words, it is a well−planned event to educate the new entrants about the environment in a particular institution, and connect them with the people in it. Chettinad College of Engineering &Technology is committed to provide a safe, fair, holistic, harmonious learning with human values. Universal Human Values & Student Induction Programme Cell is set up in accordance with the AICTE guidelines.
Objective:
(i) Create self−awareness and self−exploration among the students
(ii) Create cordial atmosphere for the new student to acclimatize, foster healthy friendship with their peers.
(iii) Socializing and associating with the people
(iv) Familiarize the fresher's about the Institutional rules and regulations, norms, academic and administrative structure and learning resources
(v) Enabling the students to be an eco−friendly human engineers & manager and contribute effectively to the human society and existence as a whole.
(vi) Adapt new environment and realize human values in personal and professional life
Duties and Responsibilities of SIP−UHV Cell Committee members
(1) Organizing and conducting SIP as per AICTE and UGC guidelines.
(2) Preparing the schedule of SIP for new students.
(3) Daily attendance coordination of the students during SIP events.
(4) Coordination of all the schedule activities.
(5) Preparation of reports and sending to higher officials.
(6) Collecting the students feedback reports during the SIP and end of the Programme.
(7) Preparing and maintaining record of minutes of the committee meeting.
(8) Taking care of parents, alumnus and other external stake holders.
(9) Activities management and records maintenance.
(10) Final submission of SIP report by the mentor coordinator to the Principal.
Students Induction Program & Universal Human Value Cell has been re−constituted in Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology to help new students to adapt and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution.
The following higher officials, faculty members and external experts have been nominated as members of the committee as per AICTE guidelines. The term of the members shall be for two years (till the end of academic year 2020-22).
